Overview
Many people begin with great enthusiasm:
"From tomorrow, I will read Quran for one hour every day!"
Then life becomes busy.
Work, school, family, travel, and responsibilities take over.
After a few days, the routine disappears.
The solution is not necessarily more motivation.
The solution is a realistic routine.
Start Small
If you are currently not reading regularly, start with 10–15 minutes.
Your goal is to establish the habit.
Once the routine becomes natural, you can increase the time.
Choose a Specific Time
Attach Quran reading to something you already do.
For example:
- After Fajr
- After Maghrib
- Before sleeping
- After school
- Before starting work
A fixed time makes the habit easier to maintain.
Separate Reading and Memorization
If you are memorizing Quran, your daily routine might include:
10 minutes — New memorization
10 minutes — Revision
10 minutes — Quran reading
This simple structure can create meaningful progress.
Keep Your Goals Realistic
Your goal should challenge you without overwhelming you.
Instead of saying:
"I must memorize a whole page every day."
try:
"I will memorize five verses carefully and revise yesterday's lesson."
Track Your Progress
Keep a simple record of what you have completed.
Seeing your progress can provide motivation.
Don't Let a Missed Day Become a Missed Week
Everyone misses a day occasionally.
The important thing is to return the next day.
One missed day is a normal part of life.
Giving up completely is the real problem.
Make the Quran Part of Your Life
The goal is not simply to complete a checklist.
The goal is to build a lasting relationship with the Quran.
At Wa’allamah Institute, our teachers can help you create a personalized learning plan that fits your schedule, level, and goals.
Start small. Stay consistent. Keep growing.
